The UK Government published a white paper that sets out policy options to protect the flow of goods and services across the UK after the end of the Brexit transition period at the end of this year. To secure this, the UK Government is proposing to enshrine in law two principles:
- the principle of mutual recognition; and
- the principle of non-discrimination.
There is an open consultation on this White Paper which can be accessed here. Moray Chamber of Commerce will be submitting a response to Scottish Chambers of Commerce who will then submit a response on behalf of the SCC Network.
To support this response, SCC have kindly prepared a Summary which includes an opportunity for our members to input into the key areas of the consultation. SCC will compile a Network-wide response with your views taken into consideration. We will submit an initial response to the UK Government by the 13th August and we will regularly share Network views on this topic beyond this date with UK Government Ministers.
If you would like to contribute to this consultation, please see the form below and you can email it back to firstname.lastname@example.org by Tuesday 11th August at 5pm.
