Johnston Carmichael | Chris Campbell appointed to ICAS Council

Chris Campbell, Senior Tax Manager in Johnston Carmichael’s Elgin team, has been elected to the governing body of the Institute of Chartered Accountants Scotland (ICAS).
ICAS is the global professional body for Chartered Accountants, comprising over 23,000 members who hold the CA designation. As well as providing education and training, ICAS acts as a regulator for the accountancy industry and represents its members on a range of issues within the profession.
The ICAS Council, which meets four times per year, is responsible for the management and direction of ICAS and setting the overall strategy of the Institute. Chris’s appointment to the Council takes effect from Friday 30 April. He will represent the Scotland North Area, covering Highland and Grampian, where he has worked in his professional career to date. Chris is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Tax Adviser with over 13 years’ post qualifying experience, and works with a range of businesses operating in a diverse array of sectors.
