Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

9AM – 11AM • The Ditsy Teacup, Elgin, IV30 1BG

Making Tax Digital for Income Tax

We’re delighted to bring you an exclusive event in partnership with Northgate Accounting focused on the biggest change to UK tax reporting in a generation - Making Tax Digital for Income Tax.

From April 2026, HMRC will introduce new digital reporting requirements that will affect many sole traders and landlords. Under these changes, those with qualifying business or property income over £50,000 will be required to keep digital records and submit quarterly updates to HMRC using approved software - rather than filing a single annual Self Assessment return as before.

Does this change affect you? Find out if and when you need to use Making Tax Digital for Income Tax - GOV.UK

Why you should register for this event:

  • Understand what Making Tax Digital for Income Tax actually means for you and your business or property income.
  • Hear from a specialist - Leigh from Northgate Accounting - offering practical guidance and real‑world insights.
  • Learn who is affected and when the rules kick in, and how the requirements change over the next few years.
  • Find out what compliant software options are available, how they work, and the costs and support options you should consider.
  • Get your questions answered in a dedicated Q&A session.
