STRESS LESS | Everyday Tools for a Calmer, Stronger You

Are you feeling overwhelmed by the demands of daily life? Finding it hard to balance work, personal commitments and your own well-being?

This session will help you understand the true impact of stress, why business owners and leaders are especially vulnerable and give you practical, realistic strategies to manage stress effectively.

You’ll leave with simple tools you can start using right away to feel more in control, improve your performance and support both your own health and your team’s.

What you will gain:

  • A deeper understanding of stress — what it really is, the different types (emotional, physical, financial, oxidative), and how it affects both individuals and entire businesses.
  • Awareness of the unique pressures business owners and managers face, and how these can impact decision-making, relationships, and overall business performance.
  • Insights into the real costs of stress — including its effects on absenteeism, staff morale, productivity, and even economic outcomes.

Practical strategies to manage and reduce stress, including:

  • Mindset shifts (focusing on what’s controllable, redefining success)
  • Health foundations (nutrition, movement, lifestyle changes that last)
  • Simple daily practices (like time-blocking, email habits, and walking)
  • Hands-on tools to start de-stressing immediately, through guided breathwork and easy stretching techniques they can incorporate right away.
  • Inspiration and empowerment to take proactive steps for their own wellbeing and the health of their teams.

The session will be led by Arlene — a self-certified stress addict who truly understands the challenges of modern life.

Arlene is a Chartered Accountant and Partner at Ritsons Chartered Accountants - but with a difference. Alongside her professional career, Arlene runs a Spey Wellness, a Pilates and wellness business designed to help people with movement, nutrition, and practical life hacks to tackle everyday stress.

She has also created the My Moray Passport book The De-Stress.

Always up for a challenge (often to her own detriment!), Arlene is currently studying Naturopathic Nutrition giving her an all round perspective on how to help people feel and function at their best.

As a busy professional, a mum and someone who supports a wide client portfolio, Arlene lives with daily stresses and has experienced their impact in many forms. She aims to share practical tips and insights to help others navigate life a little more easily - and feel like the best version of themselves.

Mikeysline will also present.
A grassroots charity formed out of tragedy, Mikeysline offers hope and support to people across the Highlands and Moray. Their mission: to provide accessible help, raise mental health awareness, break down stigma, and prevent the loss of life to suicide.
