Brightwork is a founding member of Scotland Against Modern Slavery and are committed to raising awareness of human trafficking and labour exploitation within the Scottish business community. Scotland Against Modern Slavery exists to help eradicate the atrocity of human trafficking and raise awareness across the Scottish business community of this evil trade.
The Scottish Government is looking to have a forum for the business community to share good practice, intelligence, support victims and to be prepared for changes to the Modern Slavery Act. Each “partner” organisation will have their logo and link to their website on the “corporate partners” page at www.scotlandagainstmodernslavery.co.uk with the commitment to: 1. Nominate an ambassador within their business who is at leadership level or can influence the leadership team and has an interest in the topic. 2. Attend quarterly meetings online (1hour) with Scottish Government and other members of SAMS. (expected time 4 hours per quarter). 3. Attend online round table forums when arranged to showcase good practice, receive legal guidance, discuss specific victim support packages and share intelligence. 4. There is no cost to the member organisations.
