EDF Renewables - Clash Gour Wind Farm Development

Yesterday, Aimee attended EDF Renewables supply chain event to showcase its new Clash Gour wind farm and discussed the opportunities for local businesses to work on the project.

The development of the wind farm project located near Forres, will consist of 48 turbines with an operating capacity of up to 225MW.

EDF is looking to work with a range of businesses who will be needed as part of the construction and operation of the wind farm – and includes but is not limited to those working in the following industries: hoteliers and bed and breakfast; security; transportation; site investigations; and civil engineering.

Andrew Heron, EDF Renewables UK’s Project Manager for Clash Gour wind farm, said: “We are excited to bring together local businesses and potential partners who share our vision for a sustainable future.

“We pride ourselves on working closely with communities across our portfolio, and Clash Gour wind farm is no different. We want to get to know the community and supply chain in the vicinity better and see the local economy benefit as far as possible from the wind farm.”

We look forward to working with EDF Renewables and supporting the Clash Gour project, advocating for fair access to procurement opportunities and promoting the importance of supporting local enterprises.
