Ecovillage Findhorn to Host 2025 Enterprise Fair
23 July 2025 • Sarah Medcraf
We'll be at the Universal Hall in the Ecovillage Findhorn for the 2025 Enterprise Fair on Saturday 6th September for a powerful day of regenerative enterprise, sustainability, and community innovation.
The Ecovillage Findhorn is set to host its much-anticipated Enterprise Fair 2025 offering a unique celebration of regenerative enterprise, social innovation, and community resilience. Sponsored by Ekopia, the event will highlight local entrepreneurship while fostering global conversations around sustainability and ethical business.
Building on the momentum from last year’s fair - which featured over 25 stalls, workshops, and artistic performances - the 2025 edition will expand its reach with live streaming and interactive virtual components, allowing a worldwide audience to engage with the pioneering spirit of Findhorn.
The fair will transform the Universal Hall into a bustling hub of eco-products, renewable energy demonstrations, and community initiatives. Attendees will have the chance to explore a vibrant indoor marketplace, connect directly with stallholders, and learn about real-world applications of regenerative practices.
“This event offers an opportunity to explore, share ideas, and contribute to the transformative changes needed for a resilient and regenerative future,” said Ariane Burgess, Member of the Scottish Parliament for Highlands and Islands, and one of the fair’s keynote speakers. Burgess, a longtime advocate for community-driven land reform and social enterprise, will share insights from her work in regenerative design and policy innovation.
The fair will feature presentations from local entrepreneurs, environmental practitioners, and community leaders, covering topics such as health and lifestyle, eco-building, social inclusion, and alternative finance models. The second keynote speaker, Dr. Donnie Maclurcan, co-founder of the Post Growth Institute, will speak on the theme “Connecting the Local to the Global: the power of what you already know and are doing.”
In addition to in-person activities, this year’s fair will offer live online access to keynotes, panel discussions, and virtual tours. Roving reporters will provide real-time coverage and interviews, while breakout rooms and hosted conversations will offer opportunities for deeper engagement and reflection.
“This local and global event brings people together to celebrate enterprise, creativity, and regeneration,” said Cornelia Featherstone, a long-time community member. “The interactive breakout rooms and live sharing will make this relevant for every participant—whether in person or online.”
The fair will also honour outstanding contributions to community enterprise through the Ekopia Lifetime Achievement Award 2025, recognising individuals or organisations whose work has significantly advanced regenerative development and social resilience.
The day will conclude with a 70s-themed disco hosted by DJ Lux Aeterna, inviting attendees to unwind and celebrate in style.
