First Aid for Mental Health training (Elgin)

Outfit Moray are running an open First Aid for Mental Health training course on 28th April at Moray Sports Centre in Linkwood, which is available for booking by organisations or members of the public. Places are £110 per person and can be booked directly via their website.

This course is suitable for everyone but has been designed to help employers to provide a positive mental health culture within the workplace and to provide learners with comprehensive knowledge on a range of the most common mental health conditions and the skills to be able to act should a condition be suspected.

It also covers the effects of drugs and alcohol and provides learners with the skills and knowledge to assist employers in implementing a positive mental health culture to support employees within a workplace. A range of First Aid for Mental Health related subjects are covered including:

  • What is First Aid for Mental Health
  • Identifying mental health conditions
  • Providing advice and starting a conversation
  • Stress
  • Mental health conditions
  • Drugs and alcohol
  • First Aid for Mental Health action plan
  • First Aid for Mental Health in the workplace

Participants will receive a Level 2 Award in First Aid for Mental Health (subject to successful assessment) which is valid for 3 years and will be sent via email once the course has been processed and finalised by Nuco. Full course details and information can be found on their website.
