LIFE SCIENCES GROWTH FUND

The Life Sciences Growth Fund supports capital investments from the life sciences sector (including new inward investors) to establish or grow activities within the Highlands and Islands. It is a non-repayable grant of up to £75,000 that will cover up to 50% of the total cost of a project.

DIGITAL TOURISM SUPPORT PROGRAMME

Have you heard about our Digital Tourism Support Programme? It offers tourism SMEs in the Highland Council area up to three days of free, personalised, one-to-one digital advice from industry experts who will guide you in selecting and implementing digital solutions designed to support your organisations growth.

At the end of the programme, you’ll receive a detailed and fully-costed bespoke Technology Adoption Plan that can unlock new markets, improve your services and open doors to advanced business models.

• Find Business Support brings together advice, support and funding from public sector partners across Scotland. The Cost of Doing Business section is being updated regularly signposting to services and you can sign up for regular emails to keep up to date.
• Scotland Food and Drink have a new resource to help employers develop the full talent potential of their existing workforce.
• Business Energy Scotland provides free impartial support and access to funding to help SME businesses save energy, money and carbon.
• Zero Waste Scotland provides support and funding for businesses looking to make changes.
• The Energy Saving Trust works with businesses with energy efficiency strategies, research, assurance and communications. They offer grants and loans to organisations looking to reduce emissions which can also result in cost savings.
• Skills for Growth delivered by Skills Development Scotland, this service works like a skills diagnostic service for your business. They can work with you to understand your skills needs, create a detailed people plan and guide you to the right support.
• Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service can help you lower the costs of doing business by reducing capital, energy, labour and raw material costs.
• Circular Economy Investment Fund is a funding opportunity for businesses and organisations across Scotland. Zero Waste Scotland is looking for innovative projects that have the ability to deliver carbon savings, leverage investment and create jobs.
• Interface work with businesses of all sizes, in all sectors, helping them grow. They have connections into all Scottish universities, research institutes and colleges and can save you time and money in finding and accessing academic expertise, research, technologies, specialist facilities and funding.
