Growing2gether Launches Urgent £30,000 Appeal to Protect Youth Programmes

12 February 2026 • Sarah Medcraf

GROWING2GETHER HAS LAUNCHED AN URGENT FUNDRAISING APPEAL AFTER A DELAY IN EXPECTED FUNDING LEFT THE CHARITY FACING A £30,000 SHORTFALL.

Without immediate support, the organisation warns it may be forced to scale back programmes that support children, young people, schools and communities.

The charity’s innovative mentoring and wellbeing programmes are designed to build confidence and improve mental health, helping young people to see new possibilities for their future. To date, Growing2gether has supported more than 3,000 children and young people.

Leaders at the organisation say demand for their services has never been greater, as increasing numbers of young people struggle with anxiety, low confidence and poor mental health. They are now calling on supporters, partners and the wider community to help bridge the funding gap and prevent cuts to frontline delivery.

The charity has outlined how donations could make a difference:

  • £50 could contribute towards materials for the mentoring programme
  • £100 could help cover the costs of an SCQF qualification achieved by participants
  • £1,000 could support a teenager mentoring a nursery child
  • £10,000 could fund an entire Nursery Mentoring programme

Supporters are being encouraged to donate and help ensure more young people can access life-changing opportunities.

Donations can be made now to help Growing2gether continue unlocking brighter futures for young people.
