HIE SUPPORTS HIGHLAND AND ISLAND BUSINESSES THROUGH INNOVATION SERVICE
Highland and Islands Enterprise (HIE) is helping local businesses grow and compete through its Innovation Service, which offers expert guidance and funding for new ideas or process improvements.
The service provides tailored advice on research and development, productivity, intellectual property, and growth strategies. Eligible businesses can access grants from £25,000 to £100,000 to fund innovation projects, provided they match funding and demonstrate technical risk.
HIE emphasizes that innovation can range from new products to improved operations, and recipients must meet fair work standards, including paying at least the Real Living Wage. The programme has already supported businesses across sectors, driving competitiveness and resilience in the region.
