Scarf shortlisted for Courier award recognising its work towards a fairer net zero future
Scarf has been shortlisted for the Transition to Net Zero Award at the Courier Business Awards 2026, marking another piece of external recognition for the charity’s work helping households and communities across Scotland take practical action towards a more energy-efficient future.
The shortlist recognises Scarf’s contribution to reducing carbon emissions through energy efficiency, while ensuring the transition to net zero delivers tangible benefits for the people and communities who need support most.
From providing free energy advice and helping households access financial support, to delivering and facilitating energy efficiency retrofit programmes, Scarf works across Scotland to make homes warmer, more affordable to heat and more energy efficient.
Its work has helped deliver significant environmental and financial benefits. In 2025–26, Scarf’s Home Energy Advice Team helped generate more than £975,000 in financial benefits for households, while its wider energy efficiency programmes have helped unlock millions of pounds of investment in homes across Scotland.
The Courier Business Awards shortlist follows Scarf’s recent recognition as a finalist for Climate Action Champion at The Herald Scottish Impact Awards 2026, further highlighting the impact of its work at the intersection of climate action and social need.

The winners will be announced at an Awards ceremony at the Apex Hotel Dundee on Friday, October 30, 2026.
