About Scarf

Scarf is a charity and social enterprise – founded in 1985 – that supports householders, communities and businesses in North East Scotland, helping them to reduce their fuel bills and carbon emissions.

The role

Customer Service Advisors provide in-depth advice to householders on energy efficiency and energy bills. The support is offered mainly through home visits, but also over the phone and occasionally via events.

This advice service is available in the Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, Angus, Dundee City, and Perth & Kinross local authority areas.

Duties and responsibilities

Key duties and responsibilities include:

  • Providing impartial advice to householders via home visits, over the phone, and via events.
  • Liaise with third parties such as partner organisations and fuel suppliers in order to support customers.
  • Maintain a record of these activities and achievements against agreed targets.

  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Relevant customer service experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.

Locations and working hours

The position is full-time, 35 hours per week.

We have multiple vacancies available in order to cover home visits and advice sessions in the Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire, and Perth & Kinross areas.

Administrative tasks can be performed at home. All staff are expected to travel to our offices in Aberdeen or Dundee on occasion for meetings.

Salary and benefits

The salary for this role is £19,900 p/a.
