Moray Named a Top 10 UK Area for Business Growth Potential

Moray has been recognised as one of the UK’s top 10 areas with high business growth potential in the Growth Outlook 26 report — joining Aberdeen and Perth & Kinross in the ranking of local authorities likely to see strong business expansion next year.

The report identified Moray at number 9, with 12 % of local firms showing high-growth potential. It highlights our region’s world-class food and drink sector, whisky production and growing engineering and services supply chains as core strengths driving future opportunity.

This recognition reflects the resilience and ambition of businesses across Moray, and reinforces the area’s potential to attract investment and talent in 2026 and beyond.

Sarah Medcraf, CEO of Moray Chamber of Commerce, said:

“Being named among the UK’s top 10 areas with high growth potential is a fantastic endorsement of Moray’s business community. Our businesses are innovative, resilient and ambitious - from internationally-recognised producers to dynamic service and engineering enterprises. This ranking not only showcases Moray’s economic strengths, but also underscores why now is the time to back our region with skills, investment and strategic support.”

Moray Chamber will continue to support local businesses with connections, advice and opportunities to grow — helping turn potential into long-term success.
