Scarf receives £2,500 donation from Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation

Scarf has received a £2,500 donation from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation to help continue providing free, impartial energy advice and support to people facing rising energy costs.

The funding will help Scarf reach more households with practical advice to reduce energy bills, improve home energy efficiency, and access financial support they may be entitled to.

As demand for energy advice remains high, donations such as this help the charity support individuals and families experiencing fuel poverty while working towards comfortable, more energy-efficient homes and stronger communities.

Lawrence Johnston, Co-CEO at Scarf, said:

"We're incredibly grateful to the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation for this generous donation, and it's especially heartening to know that a YBS colleague put our name forward. We’ll use the funding to continue providing trusted, independent advice to people who are struggling with energy costs. By helping households cut their bills, access grants and support, and improve the energy efficiency of their homes, we can make a meaningful difference to people's lives every day."

The Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation supports charities across the UK that are making a positive difference in their local communities. Through donations like this, the Foundation helps organisations continue delivering essential services and support where it is needed most.

Over the past year, Scarf has supported more than 8,000 households through expert energy advice, helping people save money, improve their homes' energy efficiency, and access funding and wider support services.

Anyone worried about their energy bills or looking to make their home more energy efficient can contact Scarf for free, impartial advice.
