Scarf shortlisted for Community Impact Award

Scarf, a Scotland-wide charity and social enterprise tackling fuel poverty, has been shortlisted for this year’s Community Impact Award, hosted by Share, the training and membership organisation for Scotland’s housing sector.
For 40 years, Scarf has delivered frontline support that helps households reduce energy costs, improve housing conditions, and stay safe and warm. The organisation provides free, impartial energy advice, fuel support for those in crisis, and facilitates long-term improvements to homes through energy efficiency measures.
“We’re thrilled to be recognised as a finalist for this award,” said Lawrence Johnston, Co-CEO at Scarf. “It really highlights the dedication of our teams across Scotland who work every day to support local communities: helping households stay warm, manage rising energy costs, and improve their homes.”
Over the past year, through its programmes across Scotland, Scarf supported around 28,000 households, delivered over £12 million of investment into energy efficiency improvements, and issued more than 18,000 fuel vouchers to households in immediate crisis.
The Community Impact Award celebrates organisations delivering meaningful change in communities, and Scarf’s shortlisting highlights the lasting difference made by its services and partnerships.
