Scarf shortlisted for two Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2026 Awards

11 August 2026 • Sarah Medcraf

Scarf has been shortlisted in two categories at the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2026, recognising its work to tackle fuel poverty while delivering positive social and environmental impact across Scotland.

The charity and social enterprise has been shortlisted for:

  • IDBM Community Wealth Building
  • Environmental Social Enterprise

The awards celebrate organisations that are making a difference through business models that put people, communities and the environment first.

David Mackay, Co-CEO at Scarf, said:

“We're incredibly proud to be shortlisted in these categories. They reflect exactly what we're trying to achieve as an organisation: a net zero transition that's good for the planet and works for everyone. We make a point of bringing the most vulnerable households along with us.

Our staff work tirelessly to help households across Scotland stay warm, reduce their energy costs and improve the energy efficiency of their homes. This recognition is a testament to their dedication.

It also highlights the role social enterprises play in tackling some of society's biggest challenges and creating lasting change in our communities.”

The winners of the Social Enterprise Awards Scotland 2026 will be announced later this year at a ceremony at the Radisson Blu Hotel in Glasgow on Wednesday 28th October.
