Sky is the limit for fundraisers taking on Clan’s skydive challenge

26 March 2026 • Sarah Medcraf

Clan Cancer Support is looking for thrill seekers to take a leap of faith in its Skydive fundraising challenge this summer.

Taking place on Sunday, August 23, 2026, brave participants will plunge 10,000 ft above the spectacular scenery of Perthshire and the Kingdom of Fife before making an unforgettable tandem jump.

After stepping out of a five-person aircraft, skydivers will experience 30 seconds of free-fall, reaching speeds of up to 120 miles per hour, before their parachute is deployed for a breathtaking descent and safe landing.

The once in a lifetime opportunity will take place at Skydive St Andrews, with all participants paired with a fully qualified instructor who will guide them through the jump.

Ross Sangster, Clan’s community liaison officer said: “Our skydive challenge is an incredible opportunity and a unique way to raise money for Clan’s vital cancer support services.

“Whilst it is not for the faint hearted, participants will have professional support throughout the experience making it the perfect opportunity to tick something off their bucket list with complete confidence.”

Registration for Clan’s Skydive is now open with participants required to raise a minimum of £500 one month prior to the jump or alternatively pay Clan £280 to cover the cost of the skydive and set their own fundraising goal for Clan.

Participants can also select to do the jump on another day of their choosing if the arranged date of August 23 is unsuitable for them.
