PINEFIELD GLASS CELEBRATES LANDMARK GROWTH AND COMMUNITY IMPACT
Pinefield Glass has been announced as a finalist for the prestigious SME of the Year Award at our 2025 Annual Business Awards. A recognition that reflects a remarkable period of expansion, innovation, and community commitment for one of Moray’s longest-standing manufacturing firms.

Since a new board of directors took the helm in 2018, Pinefield Glass has undergone transformative growth. The company now employs more than 80 staff across its workshop, installation teams, and offices, a record high for the Elgin-based business. A newly built showroom and office extension, completed this year, has not only created an improved customer experience but has also enabled the expansion of the office team to 17 employees, alongside the introduction of a strengthened mid-level management structure.
This growth has been mirrored across Pinefield Glass’s three core markets—trade supply, new-build contracts, and domestic installation. The company’s reputation as a leading window fabricator in the north of Scotland continues to rise, bolstered further by major developments completed in Aviemore, Brechin, and Cowdenbeath in 2024–25.

A major driver of recent success has been an in-depth factory process review undertaken earlier this year. The initiative examined every stage of production to identify improvements in efficiency, quality, and sustainability. By modernising manufacturing workflows, reducing double-handling, and even rewriting software for automated machinery, Pinefield Glass has achieved faster lead times, improved finish quality, and reduced opportunities for human error - cementing its status as a preferred supplier for housebuilders across the region.
This operational upgrade has also fuelled additional recruitment, with a record eight domestic installation teams and four new-build installation teams now active across the company’s expanding service area.

Beyond its business achievements, Pinefield Glass is recognised for its deep-rooted commitment to the Moray community. The company supports a broad network of local organisations, including Lossiemouth FC, Elgin City FC, Moray Golf Club, local primary schools, bowling clubs, youth sports teams, and various community initiatives - contributions that have helped sustain grassroots sport and local activities across the region.
Looking ahead, Pinefield Glass has also begun work toward achieving Net Zero status by 2026, demonstrating a proactive approach to environmental responsibility and its long-term impact on the local area.
