Speyside Prepares for Record-Breaking Season of Whisky Events Across Moray

17 February 2026 • Sarah Medcraf

WHISKY ENTHUSIASTS ARE GEARING UP FOR AN UNPRECEDENTED SEASON OF EVENTS IN MORAY, AS PLANS UNFOLD FOR A SERIES OF CELEBRATIONS SPOTLIGHTING SCOTCH WHISKY CULTURE ACROSS THE REGION THIS SPRING.

Organisers of the Spirit of Speyside Whisky Festival have confirmed that the flagship festival returns from 29 April to 4 May 2026, featuring an extensive programme of hundreds of whisky-inspired events hosted across Speyside’s towns, distilleries and venues.

The festival, well-established on the whisky calendar, will bring distillery tours, tastings, expert talks, music, food pairings and cultural activities to the heart of Scotland’s whisky country. Attendees from around the world are expected to congregate for experiences ranging from behind-the-scenes tours to exclusive tastings and community ceilidhs.

More than 600 whisky events are scheduled to take place across Moray this spring, spread out in towns and villages that make up the Speyside region. The scale of activity underscores the growing appeal of Scottish whisky heritage and its importance to tourism and local economies.

Speyside’s prominence in Scotch whisky production – the region is home to more than half of Scotland’s working whisky distilleries – has long made it a hub for enthusiasts and industry experts alike. Many of the planned events offer rare access to distilleries that are not usually open to the public, as well as opportunities to meet craftspeople and explore the wider cultural landscape.

In addition to festival highlights, a three-and-a-half-day Whisky School preceding the main event will offer immersive sessions on whisky history, production techniques and tasting skills.

Tickets for #Dram26 will preview on 18th February and tickets go on sale on 24th February 2026.
