Success of Moray’s employability partnership shared in new report

The success of a partnership designed to help local people overcome barriers to employment and secure sustainable jobs in Moray has been highlighted in their annual report.

Moray Pathways is the local employability partnership that includes a large network of employment support organisations and local employers from the public, private and third sector. Supporting individuals who require additional help into fair and sustainable jobs.

Between April 2024 and May 2025, Moray Pathways supported 712 people, with many receiving tailored support including one-to-one guidance, access to training and qualifications, work placements, and help with building confidence and personal skills.

The achievements were reported to Moray Council’s Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee with successes including 135 participants successfully progressing into full employment; 123 parents being supported through the Progress for Parents project, designed to help them transition into employment; 157 people with disabilities or living with mental health issues were supported; The Link Community Hub opened in New Elgin; a new personal development programme called Xplore piloted; an Apprenticeship jobs fair, attracting 830 attendees and 30 employers.

Chair of Moray Council’s Economic Development and Infrastructure Services Committee, Cllr Marc Macrae, said: “The report highlights the important role Moray Pathways plays in supporting people in overcoming barriers to employment. The range of tailored support on offer - from confidence building to qualifications - demonstrates the strength of the partnership and its ability to respond to local needs.”
