National Day of Play at the Brodie Castle Event

The ESCT mountain biking team delivered a fun day of mountain biking activities alongside Outfit Moray for the National Day of Play event at Brodie Castle on the 5th August. The ramps were set up for young people to come and try cycling and experience the fun of riding bikes. This event was a fantastic opportunity to build relationships, share ideas and work together to get more people being active outdoors. A massive thank you to Lorna Leil for inviting ESCT to be a part of such a fun event. We look forward to supporting it again in the future.

Summer Holiday Football Camps

A huge thank you to every player who attended the holiday camps over the summer and to our incredible coaches for running fun, high energy football sessions. Lots of skill development and teamwork were showed, and unforgettable memories were made throughout the summer. The camps were a huge success and we can’t wait to see you again in October!

5th Anniversary Event

ESCT celebrated The Gleaner Arena’s 5th anniversary on the 15th August. Thank you to everyone who came down to support the day. It was a great event with a huge turnout! Lots of football was played with Elgin Boys Club running their festival in the morning followed by the 5-a-side adult tournament in the afternoon. 

Thank you to our amazing partnership organisations! River Church Elgin provided fun activities including zorbs as well as free bacon rolls throughout the day, and we had stalls run by Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation, Community Alcohol Partnerships, Erskine Veterans Charity and RAF Association.   

Thank you to all the amazing staff, volunteers and trustees who have contributed to achieving this milestone and continue to support the fantastic work happening at The Gleaner Arena. It has been an amazing journey so far and we look forward to seeing what the next chapter holds!

Bay to Bay Challenge

Congratulations to the ESCT race team for completing the Bay to Bay challenge run by Outfit Moray in August. The team completed a fantastic adventure trail, tackling a mixture of road and off-road terrain with the added excitement of a water taxi ride from Findhorn across to Culbin Forest. It was a great event with lots of fun had along the way. ESCT will definitely be looking to take on the challenge again next year!

Just For Girls Phase 3

ESCT are delighted to have been awarded funding from Barclays Community Sport Fund being delivered in partnership with Sported, for the Just For Girls Phase 3 programme. This programme kicked off the last week in August and welcomed 10 girls aged 12-17 to The Gleaner Arena for a fun-filled session of football. The programme will continue for the next 8 weeks providing the girls an opportunity to develop their football skills and knowledge, meet new friends, and enjoy the game.
