Summer is off to a flying start at ESCT! July saw ESCT host another successful annual charity football match, start two new summer activity programmes, and deliver fun-filled football and mountain biking summer camps.

The annual charity football match held on 5th July was a fantastic event. The Active Recovery Moray team faced the Moray Leisure Centre team in a fast-paced game of football. The Moray Leisure Centre team reclaimed the Charity Shield claiming an 8-5 victory. The event raised £453 which will be shared evenly between the Active Recovery Moray programme and Abbie’s Sparkle Foundation. Thank you to everyone involved in the day including those running stalls, the players, Marius from Ciao Bella for keeping everyone well fed, and the local community for their fantastic turnout to support the event. 

Two new programmes were launched in July - KickStart football for children aged 2-5 years old and the Adult Summer Social Netball League. Both programmes have had a successful start and continue throughout the summer.

KickStart sessions have focused on developing motor skills, confidence and coordination in a fun, high-energy environment. The first three sessions have had a fantastic turnout and ESCT are looking forward to the next 5 weeks!

The Adult Summer Social Netball League has also newly started at The Gleaner Arena this summer. Open to all abilities whether you are returning to the sports or trying it for the first time. Come and join us on Wednesday evenings over the next 5 weeks to meet new people, be active and have fun!

Children’s mountain biking and football summer camps have commenced. The first mountain biking camp was a success with children aged 5-11 participating in building their off-road riding skills and confidence. Join ESCT for the next mountain biking camp from 27th to 31st July.

The ESCT football camps are off to a great start as well with the Just For Girls football camp. A fantastic turnout and another fun-filled week of football completed. The next football camp starts on the 3rd August and ESCT look forward to seeing you there!
