Scottish law firms Wright, Johnston & Mackenzie and Davidson Chalmers Stewart have joined forces, creating a 200-strong team including a dedicated base in the North East.
The deal enhances service provision for clients and strengthens several business areas including corporate, real estate and commercial dispute resolution.
The firms’ combined sector specialisms include planning, food and drink, renewable energy, estate planning, business and professional services, real estate, construction, health and social care, rural business, and housebuilding.
Clients can access expert counsel from 46 Partners working across Inverness, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Dunblane and Galashiels – supported by the wider Irwin Mitchell team which invested in WJM last year.

Henrietta Talbot recently became the first member of the former Davidson Chalmers Stewart team to be appointed Partner in the North East of Scotland.
Based in Elgin, Henrietta works with a broad spectrum of business clients, from land and estates engaging in rural diversification through to substantial corporate businesses.
Henrietta has considerable expertise in advising rural businesses and landowners and has extensive experience advising on a wide range of property and land matters including contracts, options and leases, renewable energy projects and acquisitions and disposals.
