Moray Chamber of Commerce is the leading business network in Moray, representing and supporting businesses of all sizes and sectors. We connect, champion and strengthen our business community through advocacy, events, partnerships and practical support.
We are now seeking a Membership & Events Manager to play a key role in growing and engaging our membership and delivering a strong, high-quality events programme.
The role is a varied, outward-facing role with real opportunity to make an impact. You will lead membership growth and retention activity, build strong relationships with businesses, and deliver an events programme that adds genuine value to our members.
Key responsibilities
Lead membership growth and retention activity to support revenue growth
Plan, manage and deliver an annual events calendar with strong member experience
Lead membership onboarding and renewals activity
Build member engagement through proactive relationship management
Manage the membership pipeline: prospecting, conversion and retention
Maintain accurate member and event records and provide KPI reporting
Improve insight into growth, churn, engagement and event performance
Strengthen member feedback loops to continuously improve value and relevance
You’ll be a confident relationship-builder with a commercial mindset, comfortable working across a small team and engaging with businesses at all levels.
You will have:
Proven experience in membership growth, customer engagement or sales pipeline management
Experience delivering events from planning through to delivery
Strong relationship-building skills across sectors and senior stakeholders
A commercial, outcome-focused approach
The ability to plan campaigns and deliver measurable results
Knowledge of the Moray area and its business community
It would be great if you also have:
Sponsorship or partnership sales experience
Experience in a Chamber, membership body or business network
Confidence using CRM systems and reporting KPIs
