Celebrate 10 Years of Moray Game Jam

10 September 2025 • Sarah Medcraf

UHI MORAY AND PARTNERS ARE DELIGHTED TO ANNOUNCE THAT PREPARATIONS ARE UNDERWAY FOR THE 2026 MORAY GAME JAM MORAY GAME JAM.

2026 is an exciting year as it marks the 10th anniversary of the event which has attracted teams from all across the country and beyond to Elgin. Starting in 2014 and despite a hiatus due to Covid the Moray Game Jam return in 2023 was a success and the number of attendees has grown consistently since then with some really innovative board and video games being produced.

The 2026 Moray Gam Jam takes place on the weekend of the 6th – 8th March at UHI Moray campus where individuals and teams come together for 48 hours to create a new video or board game. We will be introducing some new and exciting additions to celebrate the 10-year anniversary. As with previous events we don’t charge the teams for attending and rely on the generosity of our supporters and sponsors and with this in mind I am contacting you to ask if your organisation would be interested in being a sponsor in 2026.

Being involved as a sponsor of this event means that you can support up and coming young talent, put Elgin and Moray on the map as we are the most Northerly Game Jam, support skills development in a growing market and have the opportunity to network and promote your business to a large audience via the publicity the event generates and the public Gaming Playground.

We have revised our packages for 2026 and have also included an option for individuals to show their support by donating just £10.00. Please see here our sponsorship package which tells you all you need to know about the event, its benefits, examples of previous games which were developed over the weekend and details of the sponsorship packages.

There are many ways you can support the Moray Game Jam, and we would love to hear from you if you think this is something you would like to get involved with.  Please contact: jacqui.taylor.moray@uhi.ac.uk
