What are the benefits to operating in Moray?
There is so much Moray pride in everyone I have met so far and this really rubs off and makes you feel part of the heritage and successes achieved and to be achieved.
How do you connect to your local customers?
First and foremost, the Chamber of Commerce networking I have attended has been the biggest asset to connect with our locals. Secondly, we go directly to the towns people via contacts, referrals or just a quick “pop in to say Hi, we Eight Acres are back” this has proven such great response as everyone has some memory of an event, wedding, or occasion in the Eight Acres
Why are you part of Moray Chamber of Commerce?
Moray Chamber of Commerce has been the most amazing experience stepping into the corporate world of Morayshire. The connections & friends made, to the very productive networking events has really benefitted not only my introduction, but more so in announcing the return of Eight Acres & Leisure Club
What are you most proud of?
To been given this opportunity in the rebirth of Eight Acres Hotel into Elgin, which would have been a much bigger task if not for you, Moray Chamber of Commerce. I am truly excited for the journey ahead and the great things we will accomplish in the new year.
Finally, name one misconception that people have about your business.
Regaining the trust and consistency! We are here to stay. As it has had a rocky journey over the years, from change of hands between Crerar Hotel to 7Hospitality Management, the yoyo journey of open than close, open than closed again. We are ready to become the local spot for a Stunning Sunday Roast, to a weekend of sun in our new wee secret garden in summer. Dancing & Dinners in the spectacular Sherwood Suit, may it be a wedding or just a good office party.
