IT Support keeps systems running and fixes problems when they occur. It's an invaluable service.
However, what’s often missing is someone independent of vendors and systems, stepping back to look at how technology, processes, and workflows support the business as a whole, and whether they still make sense.
Without that oversight, workarounds become normal, inefficiencies compound, and work takes longer than it should.
In larger organisations, this responsibility typically sits with a full‑time IT Director.
This is the gap I work in. Taking ownership of small, practical improvements and managing them on an affordable part‑time basis.
